Outline Itinerary
Upon your arrival in Kathmandu, a Sacred Trails representative will receive you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy a traditional welcome dinner and trek briefing. Overnight in Kathmandu.
Set off on a scenic drive westward through Dhading and Arughat to reach Machha Khola. Witness Nepal’s middle hills and river valleys throughout the journey. Overnight at a teahouse in Machha Khola.
Begin your trek along the Budi Gandaki River, crossing multiple suspension bridges and forested sections. Reach Jagat, a beautiful stone-paved village that marks your entry into a restricted area. Overnight at a teahouse.
Today you branch off from the Manaslu trail and enter the sacred Tsum Valley. The trail passes through pine forests and small Buddhist chortens before arriving at Lokpa, a quiet village with valley views. Overnight at a teahouse.
Trek through forested ridges and cross long suspension bridges to reach Chumling, the first major village of Tsum Valley. Explore ancient monasteries and admire views of Ganesh Himal. Overnight at a teahouse.
Continue deeper into the Tsum Valley with a steady climb to the culturally rich village of Chhokang Paro. The valley widens and snow-capped peaks dominate the landscape. Overnight at a teahouse.
Hike to the remote and spiritually significant Mu Gompa, the highest point in Tsum Valley. Visit ancient shrines and observe the Tibetan lifestyle. Return to Chhokang Paro for the night.
Retrace your steps out of Tsum Valley and descend to Deng village, rejoining the main Manaslu trail. Cross several bridges and enjoy changing terrain. Overnight at a teahouse.
A scenic trail climbs gradually through bamboo forests and Buddhist mani walls to the traditional stone village of Namrung. Spectacular views of Himal Chuli and Ganesh Himal. Overnight at a teahouse.
Continue the ascent to Lho, a picturesque village with a large monastery and beautiful views of Mount Manaslu. A great spot for sunset photography. Overnight at a teahouse.
